Everything you need to know about the SCRAP team, and what we do to make a difference.
What we do
Every year thousands of unused and unwanted household electrical appliances get thrown in the bin
for disposal.
Some of these unwanted goods are in perfect working order and simply need a new home and a caring family to look after them.
Broken or damaged goods are important too as these can be recycled, and turned into other useful items.
Katharine House
Hospice
Working in partnership with FCC Environment Ltd, a leading Household Waste Recycling Business, the Cannock Re-Use shop based in the grounds of Cannock Waste Recycling Centre, sells electrical appliances, and other goods such as bikes, bric a brac and furniture. All items are sourced from the 14 FCC sites in Staffordshire from Leek through to Lichfield. A share of the proceeds from the sale of these items helps to provide vital free care services at Katharine House Hospice in Stafford and in the surrounding area
